A few days ago, I woke up to snow flurries outside my window. And it’s the middle of October. If I had second thoughts about getting up and going to class before I looked out the window, I pretty much had to drag myself out of bed after I saw that. Bring back the sunshine and shorts weather, please. Don’t get me wrong, I love the snow but only when I’m skiing down a mountain.
I’ve been nostalgic for summer lately, so I’ve spent my time listening to Zac Brown Band’s “Jump Right In,” “Knee Deep,” and “Toes” songs on repeat. Hearing these songs as I try to brace myself every time I walk outside makes me wish I lived down south.
I’ve decided to share Zac Brown Band’s music video for “Jump Right In.” For a little over 3 minutes, I am transported to Islamorada, Florida where this video was filmed, and I’m able to forget the layer after layer I now put on to brace the outdoors. The sad part is that it’s only going to get worse. I love the unpredictable nature of New York weather. Sigh.
